We all live is a wonderful modern world of convenience today. When something is broken we throw it away, no longer do we take a trek down to the local hardware store to try to find a spare part for something that’s broken, we just throw it away and go to the store to buy a new, bigger and better model. This throw away attitude is everywhere in our lives, if the dish washer is full and we’ve got a few dirty pots, pans and plates to wash we’ll wait until the dishwasher is emptied and we’ll put them in rather than washing them by hand.
It’s also true to say that we have people to do all the little jobs that our parents wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at doing such as washing the car, cleaning the windows and even looking after the lawn. These are jobs that our parents would take great pride in doing. But times have changed and we really do live in a consumer society today, but what about the people who cannot afford to live in this throw away world that so many of us take for granted? People who have to make do and mend when something breaks down as they don’t have the spare money to run down to the store to replace a broken appliance.
In summer i love nothing more than to hang the washing out on the line to dry and fetch it in when it’s dry, the smell of towels and clothes that have dried in the summer sunshine is unbeatable. I also own a tumble dryer but I don’t like using it, I don’t trust them, I’d much rather use an indoor retractable laundry dryer to air my clothes. Using a retractable laundry dryer is more inconvenient than using a tumble dryer but it has so many more benefits, they are friendly on the environment using up no electricity at all as well as doing less damage to your clothes, I’ve lost count of the amount of sweaters that have been ruined in a tumble dryer. Retractable laundry dryers can be used indoors or outdoors depending on the climate of where you live and depending on the amount of space you have indoors. There is no better feeling than putting on a clean crisp pair of jeans that have dried out in the sun, knowing that you’ve harnessed nature to dry your garments rather than pillaging nature to run a tumble dryer. Go green, get a retractable laundry dryer. |
